Dylan has a great passion for fly fishing and likes to share his knowledge and expertise so that others may enjoy the sport as much as he does. He spends his free time fishing and traversing new waters in search of good fishing spots for upcoming trips.
His love for fishing began when his family moved to Lake Travis in Austin when he was a kid. When he wasn’t playing baseball, he was fishing lakes, rivers, and creeks for bass, catfish, and carp. He got his first fly rod while in high school, and has not picked up a conventional rod since.
Dylan was a student athlete at Texas A&M University where he played collegiate baseball. Since graduating with a bachelor of science in Economics, he decided to hang up the cleats and guide full time: “Being able to compete at the collegiate level, you have to work as a team to be successful. I think having that background has helped me tremendously as a guide.”
Dylan can offer a trip tailor-made to your skill level and give you a well-rounded fly fishing experience. His easy-going, friendly nature will also ensure that your time with him on the water will be pleasurable and engaging.
During the summer you can find him guiding on three Gold Medal Rivers out of Frying Pan Anglers in Basalt, Colorado. He spends the winter and spring in Texas where he guides on the Guadalupe, San Marcos, and Colorado Rivers.
