Capt. Johnny Guerra

Born and raised in South Texas, Johnny grew up fishing for redfish, black drum, and speckled trout along the coast of Corpus Christi and Port Aransas. Those early days ignited a lifelong passion for angling and the outdoors, leading Johnny to dedicate himself to teaching others the virtues of fly fishing and spending time in nature.

Currently, Johnny divides his time between guiding for All Water Guides in Texas and Iliamna River Lodge in the Bristol Bay drainages of Alaska. From June to September, he migrates to Alaska, where he pursues big rainbow trout, salmon, dolly varden and more, further enriching his expertise. The rest of the year, he returns to Texas, continuing to share his love for fly fishing in the beautiful Texas Hill country and middle Texas Coast.

With over a decade of experience, Johnny has developed an intimate knowledge of Texas waters. He enjoys working with all skill levels, helping beginners gain confidence while also fine-tuning the skills of seasoned anglers. For Johnny, it’s all about making memories on the water, learning, and perhaps catching a few fish along the way.
